The Bloudan Grand Hotel is rated as a four star hotel but the service the staff provides is definitely five star! The check-in process was fast and professional and all the service the hotel provided was also proficient and well qualified. There were some small challenges encountered during our stay such as the hotels’ phone service was not working so if you wanted room service or any other small item you needed to use your mobile phone to call the hotels main telephone number. Also, the swimming pool has been closed for quite a few years and it sadly it appears that it will remain closed for the conceivable future. Other than those trials and difficulties our stay was extremely relaxing. There was no need to use the rooms’ air conditioner as the mountain air temperature was quite a bit lower than the city of Damascus. When booking your room you have two options for their regular rooms, one is the valley view or mountain view.
We used the hotel’s large outdoor terrace for tea and after dinner drinks and as I looked towards the hotel it was reminiscent and recalled my many stays in various French Country Hotel, as the architect of the Bloudan Grand I was told was French! The village of Bloudan is located 51 km. from Damascus and is at an elevation of: 1,500 meters or approximately 4,900 feet Finally, if you really want to beat the Summer’s hot weather in the city of Damascus the short drive to Bloudan and a stay at the Bloudan Grand Hotel will be your best answer, trust me…

The hotel was established almost a hundred year ago and hosted several important social and political events in the Syrian history. The place still offers authenticated feelings blended with modern services.
Located up the hill in the city center of Bloudan- the property has splendid views over the endless Zabadani green valley. Never forget to book your room on the valley side.
Excellent room conditions with clean tidy stuff and nice hotel team. I did not notice the availability of internet facility at room. The speed and the quality of the services were very good, but please observe that I visited the hotel in the off-season.
Enjoy the Syrian food with its variety of dishes. The Syrian cousin is perfect combinations of Arabic, ottoman and Mediterranean food, don’t forget to try fattosh, tabbouleh, hommous and mashawi.
You will like walking around the garden and the open air restaurants and coffee shops adjacent to the hotel.
