We were on our way back to Bangkok from Hua Hin,stopped by Phet Cha-am Plaza and Resort for lunch. The owner himself came out to welcome us,The restaurant is clean and spacious. Food was good. what it impressed me was the owner make sure that we enjoyed the food. He also took the trouble to introduced us, the menu and explained in detail the ingredients he used for the dishes, just in case if one is allergy to certain food. The chef was none other than his wife, who also came out to meet us,what a lovely couple good service and good food indeed thumbs up!.
This is a modern, comfortable, clean and well run hotel. The owner and staff are fantastically hospitable and kind and speak perfect English. The rooms are contemporary and quite luxurious, with very comfortable beds, good functioning air con and excellent bathrooms with hot water. Rooms are also spacious with good storage space. The television comes with a multitude of channels but none in English. This resort is aimed at Thai guests but can cater very well for foreigners. An issue that any foreigner will find here is that the resort is out of town. It is actually located wonderfully between Phetchaburi and Cha Am, but too far away from either for walking. The dearth of taxis in this area also makes it difficult to transport yourself affordably. The obvious solution to this is to rent a motorbike or car. Motorbikes are cheap and will allow you to see an array of sights around Phetchaburi and get to the beach at Cha Am. Phetchaburi is a bit of a hidden gem in Thailand - a hotbed of culture and a lot of unknown spots. Look in your guide book! The town itself has a lack of hotels so this is the next best thing. The popular amusement park, Santorini, is very nearby too. Well worth a visit if you have your own transport and want to see the sights around this region and not just lounge around by the beach at Cha Am.…
