Very good location and great ocean view from Suite Triple room. We are stay just 1 night and feel comfortable at Nolis Hotel. The large room and clean. Staff are friendly. Just complaint about breakfast. It's very simple and not taste.
We were excited to stay at this property considering it seemed newly built and reasonably priced, however, we wish we had stayed elsewhere. The good: Nice view and good location... that’s about it. The bad: Overrun by obnoxious tourist groups who hang out in the hallways of each floor. The hallway design creates an echo, which enhances everyone’s conversations in the late hours of the night. The overall quality of this property is not good, it’s as if they were in a rush to complete construction. There were so many details between the doors and tiles that revealed lack of detail orientation. We were provided bath towels with questionable stains and a wet bath mat, assuming it had not been changed from the previous guests. To top it off, I was locked in the bathroom and multiple hotel staff were called to help and no one was able to open the door. Waited 30 minutes for maintenance to come and unlock the door, only to be yelled at that it was working fine. If it was functioning, why weren’t any other staff able to unlock it? He explained the next morning that he was yelling out of frustration at the staff and not us, but that does not excuse his tone and behavior towards us. Would not recommend this property to anyone looking for quality sleep and service. …
The Nolis is directly opposite Back Beach, and a short taxi ride to front beach area, so in a handy location. Our Seaview Double Suite was slightly larger than a standard hotel room, with a small balcony, facing directly onto the beach. The cleaning was excellent and late checkout very welcome. In fact our bus arrived in Vung Tau late morning and I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in straight away - about 11am. The breakfast buffet ran from 7-9am and whilst there was a range of items, including eggs, there were no cereals, and when we came down at 8:30, we found most items had run out and weren’t replenished.
We stayed here for 3 nights. First night was a disaster due to noisy, disrespectful behavior by a group of guests. We were going to move but Hotel Manager encouraged us to stay. Most staff don't speak Englush which made it extremely difficult to communicate. No tea, sugar or milk provided & when we asked were told 'only at breakfast.' Shower in bath was only hand held. Being 6 feet tall made it difficult as the nozzle fixture only reached maybe 1 foot, needless to say crouching in the bath on all 4's was the only way we could shower. Breakfast average. On a positive the rooftop pool is nice, but smallish. View spectacular and easy walking distance to beach & nearby restaurants.
