a cheap small resort on the hillside run by locals, not far from the golden triangle viewpoint Location: *** accessible by private car or taxi, but may be quite difficult to drive along the narrow lane up the hill, 600 m. walking distance from the golden triangle viewpoint Universal design: * the place is not easily accessible for wheelchair person with a high-stepping stairway to every room, no disabled toilets and parking Cleanness: ** the room is clean but the glasses were wrapped with dirty stained paper, The bathroom and toilet should have a good maintenance Safety: *** the rooms in the main resort area are quite safe, but the rooms along the road are open to the public, no security guards Privacy: *** again, the rooms along the road are easily accessible from the public, the basement rooms have the low ceiling, so you can hear the guests’ footsteps above your room, just ask for the room on the top Internet:*** there is free wifi in the room, but the signal is unpredictable. Staffs: ** I did contact the staff just at check-in to pay the room prize and check out, difficult to find them Facilities: **** standard facilities in the room included refrigerator, an unexpected air conditioner, really love the balcony table Value: **** cheap price for a basic overnight sleep…

This place was perfect for us very close to the Golden Triangle look out and a very steep walk down to the local restaurant so depending on your age and fitness you may want a cab to take you back. We had a great thai meal overlooking the mekong river and they organised the cab so we had a wonderful night out. The rooms are basic but comfortable with good showers, there's no breakfast on site but only a short walk to town for anything you need

This little resort is only at 300 meters from the golden triangle viewpoint. The managers are really nice, we arrived quite late but it was not a problem for them. The rooms are simple and clean but it is quite noisy outside because of many animals (dogs, cats, roosters...). You have an awesome view, especially for the sunrise, from your balcony.

We were booked in to stay here for 4 nights and when arriving we discovered that this hotel has never existed in this location. A very kind local tried to help and called the number we had for our booking and had to inform us that the hotel was in fact 63km out of Chiang Rai. The description given by the hotel says it's only 700 metres from the Chiang Rai Bus station and only 1km from the clock tower so it isn't even just a Google map mistake. But despite this and having called them and informed them of why we haven't honoured the booking I received and email to say I would be charged for not showing up.
