Nice site for one night, mostly permanent residents. No picnic table which seemed a drawback until we realised that the smell of garlic gets stronger as darkness falls. It smells A LOT, to be fair Gilroy does advertise itself as garlic capital of the world. One annoyance was that the toilets were cleaned between 8 and 9 am, which is a pain if you are moving on that day. The site is close to a shopping area with restaurants which is useful. Stayed here almost 6 months, late summer, fall, and early winter. What we liked: 1) Near shopping 2) Friendly, attentive staff 3) Fairly quiet for a crowded RV park 4) Pool, rec room, and lobby area always clean 5) Park residents generally follow the rules 6) Management tries hard to make the park a nice place to live; 95% of the RVs there are permanently parked and so they have occasional group activities 7) Mail service is reliable 8) Office is open 7 days a week What we didn't like: 1) Overflowing trash dumpsters, week after week after week 2) RVs are parked so close that you can look into your neighbor's RV; on one side of our motorhome I could touch our RV and our neighbor's WITHOUT extending my arms 3) Stray cats everywhere; we were constantly stepping into their messes; constantly shooing them off our outdoor furniture 4) Speaking of outdoor furniture: the parking spaces are so narrow and so short that only the cats sat on the outdoor furniture--we never did because we would be practically out on the road--no privacy AT ALL 5) Parking in this park is a major problem. We had a so-called "premium" site, for which we paid $100 extra monthly. Consequently we had room to park our car on our space. But all the other spaces in the park are so ridiculously narrow and short that there are cars parked in the roadway at almost every space. On the day we drove our motorhome away from the park we had to ask two neighbors to move their cars out of the roadway in order to vacate our spt.…
