Very well kept rv Park. Clean and a nice setting. Hosts very nice folks, very helpful. We were disappointed, however, by the smell of marijuana during the day and most pungent at night. For the record, the law allows for pot growering, but I prefer not to smell it in a campground where I cannot get away from it. We basically shortened our stay because of it.
I stayed in Cabin 10 and it was very nice. It was clean and cozy and had everything I needed. The pool was nice and the grounds were tidy. I liked the horseshoe pit and playground. The grounds are clean and you can see they are putting a lot of effort to make it a nice place. I definitely will stay here again.
Had a great time late in october 2018 . My cabin was clean, the new owners are great, fall colors super, weather good, fishing good, and spent a nice quiet four nights there. The new owners are serious about the place and doing a fantastic job. They also gave me use of one of the kayaks and were most helpful. My cabin was comfortable and was able to catch up on reading and napping. I am looking forward to coming back this next coming spring. Nick
This property is under NEW management with a sincere interest in bringing this old resort back to life....In May, 2018, my sons and I rented a cabin for the night right after the grand opening. A little history. This resort was originally a "camp" for Dam workers back when. It is across the street from Trinity River and down river from a pretty impressive dam. There are multiple boat launches along this road. The resort has water access rights across the road. The inground pool is fully functional now. There are playgrounds, walking trails, decent paved roads to the cabins and RV spots. There are primitive spots. Daily, overnight, and monthly RV spots. Some RV spots have decks overlooking the valley. Black Tail Deer are EVERYWHERE. It adds a country touch. They have little fear of humans. The cabin was a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom with living room and kitchen. It was modest, but clean, and neat. It has window units that were adequate for cooling. Personally, I slept with the windows open to catch cool night air. I was hoping to hear coyotes sing or owls hooting, but that did not happen. Trust me, they should be there. When the season is right bald eagles are everywhere. The mountain ranges are impressive. The lodge pole pines are towering. The water is crystal clear. This area is some of the most beautiful American land ANYWHERE. Office is well run. This is a family owned and operated organization. They live on site. Although the office was not open 24 hours, you can contact them at the park at their cabin. I know this place has had some really bad reviews in the past, BUT give this resort another try and help these folks bring this place back. They are investing a lot of blood, sweat, tears, time, and money to make this a nice place for family... By the way, ask to rent cabin 16. Its haunted. If you dare.…
