Booked this as a get away for Thanksgiving but COVID restrictions hit, but hotel is not flexible in changing and canceling the reservation. Hotel room is small, a lot of parking spaces, good location.
My family and puppy enjoyed our stay. Not many people at the pool. Concrete floors in the rooms makes it easy to clean. Very nice hip place and close to a coffee shop and great breakfast place. We will be staying there our next visit. Also the prices are good !
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. It’s a huge headache all around. Most disappointing is the contactless approach. Everything at this hotel is digital. You have to use your phone for everything. Check in, getting your key, requests, room issues. Then, multiple different numbers text you back, sometimes not for 15/20 minutes. There is minimal to zero staff on premise. The walls of the room are paper thin. I could hear the people above me everytime they walked and the baby in the room next door. The music by the pool was blasting until 10PM (Constant Coachella music ) So I had to text the number to have them shut it off since all rooms face the pool. The restauraunt on site is super limited for dinner options. I needed a wine glass for my room and they gave me attitude and seemed hesitant to provide it. I don’t get the issue of requesting a wine glass when you’re paying $200/night. They advertise lemon water stations on the app, which are actually just two water filters in front of public restrooms. There’s no concierge or front desk so don’t even think about getting advice on restaurants or explorations. Also there is no coffee machine in the room nor a place to get one before the pool bar opens. This is basically a glorified air bnb and a bad value for the amount paid. I checked in to the hotel on 9/25/20. Initially I was very pleased by the friendliness of staff, nice room, and overall feel of the hotel. That evening however we had a pretty bad experience. My boyfriend was overcharged by the outdoor bar by about $100 dollars. I had my phone taken without my permission by a hotel employee collecting towels. When we found he had it, his reply was that he picked it up for safe keeping so no one else took it. The fact of the matter is, a hotel employee took and held on to my personal property without my permission. He did not return my phone to a lost and found or frost desk for safe keeping. Unfortunately when I went to speak with management about the issue, his reply was “you’re lucky he picked it up and no one else did”. Bottom line, the incident was theft and unacceptable The next morning we checked out early. I gave an explanation of the previous nights events and wanted to be refunded for the night we would not be staying there and and any cancellation fees waived. The hotel decided to refund me in full. After a follow up phone call I had to make to them in the afternoon, I finally received a receipt showing a refund of the full amount (mind you they charged my card in full for a two night stay upon checking in, this goes against their stated policy. I only stayed 1 night). As of today, Nov 2, I still have not received my refund owed to me. I have made phone calls multiple time, sent emails, filed a formal complaint and have been told “we’re under new management, you have to wait up to 7 business days, I assure it’s processing, we are so sorry mam, it didn’t go through like we thought” I finally filed a fraud claim with my bank to get the issue handled. This establishment and their practices are unacceptable.…
BEWARE This hotel is a SCAM. We showed up to a hotel that has recently been taken over by a new company, “Sonder”. We understood that this hotel had a pool bar, a restaurant, working access codes, and ACTUAL human beings present for assistance. None of these were present. After waiting outside forever because check it is now “contactless”, we found housekeeping who called a manager to come to the property to help us. 2 hours later we get a room, AFTER they told us they lost our reservation. We had vouchers for bar and restaurant credit. After a 5 hour flight and a 6 hour drive we were excited to eat and relax. Nope. After we dropped off our luggage in Our rooms, every single “staff” member vanished. Any bar or restaurant that may exist, was shut down. It was only 6:30pm. With nobody to call, we are now alone on this property with nowhere to go, no working access codes, and not a soul to be found who could possibly make this experience even an ounce better.…
