Aside from the functional, unsecured firearms left sitting on a shelf full of live ammunition in the entryway, and which were pointing at my bed just upstairs the whole time, it was a pretty comfortable stay. It is very fortunate that my young nieces know more about firearms safety than the guy who runs this place. The death threat bumper stickers on his truck were a nice touch. I am not someone with an irrational fear of firearms. I am a former gunsmith who left the industry because of the prevalence of attitudes like this. If you value human life more than cultural shibboleths, do not stay here.
The owners are flexible, accommodating, & friendly. Aida made us three wonderful breakfasts & we had great visits with them each day. Their b & b is quaint, spacious, & a beautifully & tastefully restored home built in the early 1900's. We would highly recommend this b & b to anyone traveling through the area for business or pleasure. Their rates are extremely reasonable.
