I went for a one night visit to Al Menya with friends to visit famous archaeological sites there, like the tombs of Bany Hassan, Saint Mary Monastery at Jabal Al Tair, Al Ashmunin, Tel Al Amarna .. etc. The program of the visit included one night stay at Queen Isis Floating Hotel, I liked how neat, clean and well located the hotel was. In addition, the staff were very helpful and cooperative and the food was really good. I recommend this accommodation for any visitor to Al Menya.
It was my first visit to Minya and I found a hidden Egyptian gem. Queen Isis flioating hotel is perfectly located in the downtown, all transportations are by the front gate. Front desk did great job for rapid check in and out and gave me detailed informations about how to walk around the authentic spice market. During Covid, my first concern was to be sure about sterilization, all employees had masks, respected distancing, hand jel everywhere, disposable items used, simply, every thing was spotless clean. House keeper Mr Ismail was ready to answer any request. The food and beverage were perfect with the Mr. Anwar who took over all supervising and hospitality jobs in a very expert and high class standerds. My room 312 was overlooking a great view of the river nile, well isolated and sleep quality was good. Mr. Khalaf and Mr. Kady, the owners had gone the further mile to make the visit unforgettable as they arranged my visit to the marvellous touristic sites at Tal El Ammarna which is the capital of EkhenAtoun who was the beleiver of a single God, Beni Hassan, Ashmonnien. The sunset trip with flouka was a real sharm. I hope Covid ends to allow such a city and such a nice hotel to get the full occupancy from tourists coming from all over the world to see more wonders Egypt is offering.…
The ship use be a 5 star river cruiser. Nowadays it’s a nice floating hotel. Do not expect luxurious rooms. They are ok. Ac works. Window is very big and river view is impressive! the restaurant and sun deck are great. Luciano the restaurant manager is a great man and very helpful
My mom and I stayed here while we were in Al Minya to visit the Tombs at Beni Hassan, the art gallery of Hassan El-Shark, and Tell el-Aramana. The accommodations aboard the Queen Isis were top notch. Our room was comfortable and had a great view of the Nile. The service was great and the food was delicious. I can't recommend it highly enough; it was wonderful.
