While the owner was very friendly and engaging our stay suffered from an ant infestation in the rooms, no air conditioning and a rather mediocre breakfast. There were also builders on-site most days fitting a Jacuzzi in the garden, which made sunbathing by the pool rather awkward.
the room was small but for 1 person it was fine. bathroom was much better than the hotels. actually has a shower you can move in. the owner has been great. very pleasant and helpful. one thing if you stay here you need some form of transportation as it is about 5k to town. however is the owner is around she will give you a ride. i would stay again.
First impressions not good. no reception, house needs repairs.untidy garden dog poo in garden. no grass as result of drought, but no excuse to keep it tidy. No choice about breakfast - just scrambel eggs. tv channels sabc2 movie and music, no sportschannel. ok linen was clean . no glass in room just a coffee mug . And cost a lot of money for what you get.Had to take the accomodation because the guesthouse we booked also made a messup in Houtbay.
