This motel is very quaint and has a nice hometown/small town intimate appeal. The owners are of the generation of mid twentieth century when courtesy and respect were much more common place than modern day expectations of the me generation with the attitude of being catered to. This place is clean, quiet, and friendly. The claim of the guest that they picked up bedbugs here is completely FALSE. We have been here for three months and have made friends with the other monthly tenants, none of which have ever seen any bugs or other vermin. So let's dispell that myth right here and now. Whether staying a night or two, a week, or a month the Town House Motel is THE place to stay. You cannot beat the rates nor the hospitality of of the Adobe, tin roofed buildings that are common place in New Mexico. You will definitely leave here knowing the true meaning of "The Land of Enchantment"!…

Terrible customer service when calling for information and to potentially book a room. Full disclosure: I have not stayed at this motel / property; however, I called them to get their nightly and extended stay rate (2-3 weeks) while working a project in the Las Vegas, NM area. I guess they have all the business / customers they would like. It started of like this when I asked whom I was speaking with. She said "Who do you want to talk to?". I said: I would like to speak to someone that can tell me the nightly and extended stay rates." She then said "Well, I don't know who you want to talk to." Hmmm....thinking to myself....I don't know anyone there, so how would I know whom to ask for. So, I responded "Well, I guess I don't want to talk to anyone there....thank you, good-bye! Pitiful excuse for even a modicum of customer service. Gee, it really doesn't cost much to market your services on the phone....you might want to start with not being sarcastic and just offering a first name....I would not even have known if it were an alias...so what was the big deal about providing a name? The end result: I booked a nightly rate (with the possibility of a better extended stay rate) with a competitor (Regal Motel) and we'll see how that goes. At least the person on the phone there was willing to offer her first name and answered all pertinent questions in a courteous and professional manner. The best part: Regal quoted a nightly rate: $43.00, includes Wifi, Cable TV, Micro and Fridge. Just hoping it will be clean and relatively quiet. :o)…

I've been visiting Las Vegas NM for 30 years for business, and I've tried out several motels, including the Plaza Hotel downtown, which of course is very nice but also very expensive. I've made the Town House my home in town. You have probably heard the road wisdom that if you want to find the best restaurant you should look for where the truckers are parked. There is similar lore about motels--look for where the construction crews and traveling business vehicles are. There are usually a lot of them here. It is an old 60s style motel, not fancy but with a home-made charm that you don't find in today's franchises. The owners have always been friendly. The rates are hard to beat. You might need to get in your car to go to the nicer restaurants near the plaza, but its not far, and you should check out the plaza anyway.…
