We stopped here to have a look at the falls (you need to go through the park to get there). The owner was so friendly and helpful. The sites are great and the grounds are immaculate. You can also get fuel here and they have a well stocked store too.
We only stopped to see the falls, but Jan was so helpful, full of info. Would choose to stay there next trip to Cooktown, the grounds are impeccable, the units tidy and the pool looks inviting. Definitely recommend a visit at least for food and the falls!
Jan the owner and onsite manager is friendly and accommodating, there is a small shop with amenities and goods, take away meals and even petrol for your convenience. The park grounds are immaculately kept and rooms are clean. The endeavour falls is a short stroll through the park grounds and worth visiting. A true oasis between Cooktown and Hope Vale
We visited here to see Endeavour Falls which is accessed via a short walking track from within the Tourist Park. Visitors to the falls are welcome but it is a courtesy to ask permission first at the park reception. The park itself appears very pleasant, it looks particularly clean and well maintained and would be a good place to stay with a van or camper if 20 minutes outside Cooktown fitted in with your plans.
The park was lovely and everything was nice and clean. We stayed overnight in a room. Rooms were also very clean but the reason for my 3 star rating is the plastic pillows made the worst night sleep my husband and I have ever had (and he can sleep anywhere) by 2am we’d given up and thrown the pillows on the floor and rolled up our beach towels and used them instead! Earlier in the night I took off the pillow case hoping the plastic was a removable protective cover but unfortunately it was a plastic coated pillow. Also the shower curtain was too short so it flooded the bathroom floor when you used the shower. The bed was on the small side (double not queen) I’d expect a queen for the price we paid and the bed bases where on wheels without stoppers so they moved every time you got up. I would stay again but I’d bring my own pillows next time and put one of the kids in bed with me and hubby on a single due to the small double bed size. The park itself is very nice though and a lot of care has been taken in maintaining it. Despite my complaints I would still recommend staying here.…
