This hotel is located in the heart of police bazar. rooms are good and clean. the rates of the rooms are high as per the quality of the hotel. Staffs are friendly. The upper floors are bit quite and lower floors are noisy. its a ok hotel.
Not worth visiting. This hotel is located in a shopping complex. Worst arrangements. No lift provided. Highly commercialized. located in very noisy and dirty location. Dull ambiance. Not worth the money.
Asked a Guwahati-based agent for a decent hotel in Shillong that could reasonably host a Western family with young children (three-star or above), and was recommended this hotel. Didn't do my homework, simply turned up on the day with family and that proved to be a costly mistake. The hotel is the Police Bazaar area (Shillong's commercial centre), but accessed from a dingy side-alley full of litter. An open municipal waste dump is located few feet away from the door. As our vehicle stopped before the entrance, we were greeted with the sight and smell of human and animal faeces; we had to move the vehicle quickly as the hotel does not have a parking, nor could we park anywhere on that alley. The hotel is housed in a scaffolded structure most of which is still under construction and almost entirely covered in jute gunny-bag material. Typical construction sounds filled the air. There are no lifts in the hotel and any concept of accessibility flies out of the window. The entrance is through a narrow door (an average person with a large suitcase would struggle to enter), immediately leading to a steep staircase. Ascending three flights of steps you arrive at the poorly lit reception. The rooms are poorly lit, small and smelly, even the so-called VIP Rooms and there is no Wi-Fi. Rooms are charged INR 1150-2200 (I can tell you, even a £20 a night bedsit/B&B in London offers way better value) - this excludes the Meghalaya government tax of 28.75% on any hotel room charge. I certainly know I won't be stepping anywhere near this hotel again. As for the travel agent who recommended this hotel, he became uncontactable and non-responsive since we started chasing him to refund the full costs of stay we paid him in advance (we were charged INR 2200 a night per room). We have of course sent him our photographs of the hotel.…
Stayed in Blue Mount for a night. The room we were given had very little natural light and poor ventilation with a musty smell. Could not sleep at night at all due to loud music and voices from the disco below. The front desk never informed us that it would be noisy else we would have stayed in some other place.
we reached bit early in the morning but hotel was opened only around 7 am...rooms were spacious, delicious breakfast and always helping front desk. its not very costly around 1500 for a double room..nd likes d alu paratha too much,......
