There is no way I would ever recommend anyone staying here, it is absolutely disgusting, just like a complete doss hole, there was no one there to greet us, had to ring a number and they gave us the code to a small safe outside the door with our key in it, there was hair all over the towels and bed, pubes in the shower, toothpaste spit all up the mirror, blood stained sheets on the bed and all different other stains on the mattress and sheets. We asked for a refund and it took us a few weeks to actually get it back after they ended up charging us again rather than refunding, do not stay here, it's absolutely revolting.
I live just over the road to this place,its a sublet,private place.There iis nothing but chaos that goes on. The poor neighbors get woken at all times of the night they've lived there for 30+ years. We've had letters from the council and police but no action.
Stay clear of this house its a doss house and doddgy arrived at 6 ish to a tatty looking house no where to park couldnt get in door locked alarm bells started to ring phone owner ( i think) said he needed our card detail again our company had already paid so got in touch with our boss to sort it out was then given a code to get key out of a box on wall finerly got in found room was tatty shabby damp bedding no kettle no remote for telly so phoned (owner i think again ) was rude un helpful so we left and went and found a nice clean hotel this house should be investacted by locle council if we didnt find another hotel we would of slept in the van
Room was clean & adequate for The price, there seems to be a parking system for which the long term guests, (workers) get priority on the 3 space forecourt, i was asked to move my car by a builder type and park in the street, (meter controlled area) there was no soap supplied in the dirty shared shower, i was leaving at 4am the next day airport bound and had to go to a 24 hr garage to use the toilet as theres no toilet paper supplied.woken at 1am by car alarms and night creepers in the hall way, this place is not a hotel, its a house with no manager as i found out when i checked my bank account & they had taken 2 lots of payments for one nights stay,after 3 phone calls and 17 days later i still havent received a refund. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE.
I arrived at Romford House at about 6:15 in the evening. I realised at his point that I hadn’t called them in advance as instructed. When I called them it appeared that this wasn’t a problem as they simply supply a four-digit code that enables you to unlock a key safe on the wall to get your front door and room key. However, this was where the problems began. The code that they gave me was incorrect. For around 10 minutes they repeated the code to me and I failed to open the key safe. After a while the person on the end of the phone passed me to their colleague who told me the same code and instructions. Eventually they told me they would contact a member of staff who was nearby and would be there in 10 or fifteen minutes to help. Twenty minutes later no-one had arrived. I called back and told them this and they reassured me that someone would be there in one minute. They weren’t. To cut a very long story short – an hour and three quarters and fifteen phone calls later (during some of which they told me that I was in my room!). I left and found another hotel. On a positive note – they refunded my money……
