I spent 4 days roaming around Vulcan, this was one of the many places I went. It was a nice enough Campground. It had powered stalls so if that's what you seek, it's a good place. It's surrounded by parks. I can't speak for how busy it normally is. I went during the towns Spock Days, so it was packed. If you need power then you will probably like it. However, if you're not set on a powered stall, Vulcan also has a free campsite. It's called the Municipal Campground. Even though the Virginia Mitchell campground was packed, the entire time we were in Vulcan only one other person ever stayed at the Municipal campground with us. I think there's 8 free stalls. It has running water in the bathrooms and a nice little shack to hang out in case of rain, and picnic tables in every site. Also important to note, there are no fire pits at either of these campgrounds. I was surprised to lean that when I called the town office to see if there was a fire ban in effect.…
Vulcan is the Star Trek attraction in Alberta! City park has easy room for RVs and tents, good sized partially shaded sites, free showers, clean restroom, nearby playground, easy walk to town restaurants. Choose your site, fill out the paperwork and leave your check or cash in the entrance box.
