I can't even force myself to give this even a star. I had to book a room in a different hotelbecause this place is disgusting. EWWWW!!! Their room rate should only be 500 a night because the place is really nasty. Tsk tsk
When booking this hotel, nothing screamed luxury. We went over the East weekend (Holy Week) & it was the last hotel available. In fact we only got our two rooms in this hotel due to a cancellation with us booking 3 weeks in advance. It was certainly not cheap by Philippines standards & we paid around 4000 Pesos ($90US) per night. I think they saw us coming. The rooms were available as soon as we arrived at 11am which was great but there were no towels & you were "issued" with a toilet roll. The towles (1 each) arrived later that day & did not get changed over the weekend. Nor was our room cleaned or freshened. The room was just a bare room with the bed & ultra small table & a bathroom with a cold water shower. There was no window in our bathroom but our friends' room was ever so slightly larger & had one. During the night on EACH night the power also went out. Upon asking about this & also at the town cafes all said this was the first time ever. When I said this happened the night before, I just got a smile. So no power, no AC in 35+ degree weather & no light in the bathroom. And $90US a night. Even with this to get a later check out of 4pm we were charged 1000 more Pesos. All rooms also have a small balcony if on the ground floor with no outdoor furniture. The lady at the desk & the helper all spoke Enlgish well & were really friendly & they have small huts down towards the water which has a karoke machine set-up. They get this all going for us which was great. Because the hotel is not central, the desk helper guy rwent up to the main road & got us tricycles to hire, thanks so much. The hotel also has a very small cafe but we did not eat there, prefering just to stay there & use the restaurants along the beach. The hotel is on the water but is on the rocky part & you must walk past 3 more hotels to get to the beach. The beach? Well yeah but the sand is really coarse & full of tiny shells & is not what we are used to in Australia or even Boracay. There was some star spotting of Pinoy celebs but we did not know them. So no power or AC, no hot water, no clean towels, no clean rooms, over-priced but friendly staff. Would I stay again, no. Book earlier & stay at one of the hotels ON the beach. One of them also had a foam party that weekend.…
