An overnight stay on our Wheat Belt Way road trip. The Sheep shed was clean, quiet had very hot water and a comfy bed altho a little dated it was very convenient. Information from owner prior to arriving about the area was invaluable. The oven door track is worth a visit. Thank you Watson family.
Stayed overnight at Watson's Way Bed and Breakfast in August 2016. Hayley was very informative both on the phone and email when confirming the booking. She also sent us a map and booklet of the region which we used extensively during our weekend. There was 5 of us staying in the Chook House, which has 3 bedrooms. It was fully self contained and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our evening meal. Hayley had turned on heaters in every room when we arrived and there was wood chopped for us to start the wood heater in the lounge. We really appreciated this as it was a bitterly cold day! All the beds also had electric blankets. Hayley dropped in to see us a short time after our arrival to check everything was ok - so thoughtful. Whilst we had travelled to see the wildflowers, it was a bonus to check out the nearby Berinbooding Rock and Elachbutting Rock. We were only expecting basic accommodation, but the Chook House exceeded those expectations and it was a very comfortable stay. Thanks so much Hayley!…
This was a brilliant 2 night stay. Hayley and Scott provide a fantastic experience with lovely independent accommodation provided in a real farm setting. This is a great part of the world and there were fascinating rock formations and many wildflowers to explore close to our base. We felt like we were part of the family and will miss Hayley's yummy breakfasts and bright personality. We cooked our own meals each night but for most of the year you can eat meals provided by Hayley. It was great coming "home" each evening and we miss it already!!
Great hospitality. Lots of wild flowers. Very interesting rock formations. The tourist is well catered for as there is information signage at places of interest. A nature walk of about two kilometers identifies many of the local plants. Hayley and Scott also run a large farming operation but are always available to attend to visitors requests.
A group of us spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the food, and the wonderful attractions in this area. It is a long way to the farm for many people but is well worth the visit. Our house, the Sheep Shed, was delightfully decorated throughout with bots and pieces on the theme. The home is a typical Aussie farmhouse built from a prefab a few years ago but we had everything we needed and we weren't looking for trendy. A fabulous home cooked breakfast is supplied in the main house each morning, and we chose to dine In One night enjoying a gourmet meal that fitted everyone' s special dietary needs with no fuss, and all at a great price.
